DestroyTwitter is a compact though robust Twitter application built to run on Mac, Windows, and Linux using Adobe AIR. It consists of a series of canvases that constantly update to keep tweets up-to-date using notifications that appear when a new tweet arrives. DestroyTwitter uses a minimal amount of memory compared to its AIR-based alternatives without sacrificing functionality and performance. As a result, it can easily run in the background as an automated process.

My favorite so far among the hordes of AIR based Twitter desktop clients! Believe me, I’ve tried TweetDeck, Seesmic Desktop, Twhirl, and TwitterFox on Firefox and they were all either too bloated for the computer or had ugly interface. DTW on the other hand was very sleek (a bit minimalistic so to speak) and a lot of those little features (such as @ auto-completion) that make for a better Twitter experience.

So this morning I’ve been tinkering around with my WordPress blog, and along came this question:

How do I push my blog posts on FB? I mean when I publish something on the blog, It’d be really nice if it also appears on my FB profile (and -rather shamelessly- also on other people’s stream ) …

First thing that came to mind was to search for a WordPress app. It seems that that app has been around for quite a while, and a lot of people have been complaining how it’s broken and doesn’t work at all (I’m not really sure if it’s getting updated anymore). So Google to the rescue and just moments later I stumbled upon the answer on the WordPress forums (thank you desperatemothers!). Here’s the really basic step-by-step:

• Login to FB and head over to your profile page by clicking on your profile name right on the top bar.

  

• You should be on your profile page (and not someone else’s). Now click on the “Settings” link just below the big-ass share button on the top portion of your profile page.

  

• You’ll see that FB can import your stories from most major social media websites (Flckr, Youtube, Last.fm, just to name a few). Give it a shot if you happen to have any of the mentioned accounts.

  

• For now just click on “Blog/RSS” and fill in the URL to your blog feed. If you happen have a WordPress blog (like I do), simply follow the format as shown in the image above. I believe this might also work with any system that provide RSS feeds (not just blogs, imagine the possible applications!).
• Save and you’re done.

Now each time you publish something on your blog, it will be imported into your profile as a note (accompanied with a link to the original post). Good luck!
